- BSF Initiative Mauritius :
We are developing an organic waste management solution using the extraordinary conversion properties of the Black Soldier Fly.
The aim is to organise for the hotel industry, among other customers, a massive reduction in waste by producing organic fertilisers and animal feed in Mauritius.
This initiative is part of a collaboration with the Food and Agriculture Research and Extension Institute, which has developed a process for rearing MSNs and constitutes the scientific “Proof of concept” of the project.
BSF Initiative, in which Michel Baum is a 50% shareholder, is leading the pre-industrial pilot project for the validation of the economic business case in collaboration with poultry farmers and eminent players in the local hotel industry.
